Alex Boardman is our Compere.
Alex Boardman has been a full-time comedian since 1998 and has played pretty much every comedy club in the UK and performed throughout Europe and the Middle East. He recently spent five nights as the warm-up act for “An Evening with Eric Cantona.” and says it was a pleasure to play to almost ten thousand people that week during sold out shows at The Lowry Theatre Salford and The London Palladium. Later this year he will return to The Lowry and The London Palladium, again acting as warm-up, this time for the brilliant boxer Anthony Joshua.
He runs his own night called New Comedians, every third Sunday of the month at The Comedy Store in Manchester. Acting as MC for every show, five new acts from around the country are featured every week.
Dan Nightingale – is joining us for the first half of the show.
One of stand-ups brightest stars. a natural on stage, a total original and one of comedy’s most exciting secrets. Dan is a huge star of the national circuit and is a resident compere and act at Manchester’s Famous Frog and Bucket Comedy Club. He is an act not to be missed!
Dan combines cutting observation with his natural playfulness, raucous banter with beautiful surrealness, and great gags with heart felt ramblings. His comedy is genuine, creative, honest, unpredictable, original and above all… funny as hell,
‘Nightingale can make just about anything funny. He’s lightning-quick’ (Time Out)
‘Magnetic, entertaining and wonderfully funny’ (Three Weeks).“
