This year we are delighted to welcome :

Walton Hesse with Matt Grayson – guitar, bass guitar, composer & singer (at The Brewery  Tap 18 Bridgewater St, Lymm WA13 0AB)  An Alt-rock band based around the songs of singer/guitarist Matt. With a firm nod to Americana they play country-tinged guitar pop/rock and drones pulling on influences from Steve Malkmus to Steve Reich. The eponymously titled debut LP was produced by Matt and recorded in various studios and living rooms in his hometown, Manchester, with the help of friends and trusty engineers.  WH was released in June 15th 2016 to favourable reviews with Americana UK noting its “Emotional, mesmerising intensity”. . Following the release and a sold-out launch gig the band have graced the stages of Tramlines, Wood Festival, an AMA UK Showcase and Matt also playing solo openers for The Slow Show, Lera Lynn and Nathaniel Rateliff. Live you can catch them Loud, incendiary and hypnotic as a full band or quiet and earnest as solo.
Walton Hesse : Matt Grayson, Daniel Fleming, Dominic Marsh, Nicola Grayson, Joel Nicholson and Peet Earnshaw.

Bullfrog : (at the Spreadeagle Pub, 47 Eagle Brow, Lymm WA13 0AG ) A 4-piece classic rock cover band, based in Manchester and on a mission to play the funkiest, gnarliest blues that has  ever rocked the North West. Think Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, plus some cool new takes on some old blues standards.

They have been described by some listeners as sounding like a radioactive, 100-foot-tall Muddy Waters laying waste to an entire city. If you want a dedicated, virtuoso band to provide a good old fashioned rockin’ time and shatter some eardrums, then we are it! Good times guaranteed.  >>   >>

The Lonesome Stampede:  (at the Bridgewater Club Whitbarrow Rd LymmWA13 9AP) are an original upbeat folk-funk band based in Hay-on-Wye and Builth. They are about to (March 2017) release their first album recorded and produced at KJM Studios in Hereford. They have toured already this year, playing John Sebastian Bristol, Three Horseshoes in Bradford-on-Avon, London’s famous Hope & Anchor and The King Arthur in Glastonbury. They are busy adding to their 2017 summer festivals which include appearances at Lymm Festival, Wessex Folk Festival, Outcider and Deer Stock. They have been played numerous times on BBC radio and appeared on a BBC Introducing session, they are signed to Jelli Records.

Chris Bevington and Friends  –  making a most welcome return to the Festival to play great blues music at Lymm Tennis Club, 11 Brookfield Road,  WA13 0PX.  ‘Some artists break the mould with staggering new sounds and others take the known and create something new. Then there are artists who simply play with such verve and joi de vivre that they make the common sound fresh and alive and that is where Chris Bevington finds himself’.
