The aim is to put on something for everyone whatever your tastes and whatever your age group.
The Summer Festival takes place each year in the second half of June, hopefully when the weather is great and we can all enjoy the outdoor events as well as the gigs, concerts and exhibitions indoors.
The aim is to put on something for everyone whatever your tastes and whatever your age group:
Music and Dance – from sacred choral singing through to blues and jazz via pop and swing!
Comedy and Drama – from stand up comedy to drama presented by our local dramatics group.
Spoken Word – from celebrities ‘in conversation’ through to story time for children.
Food and Drink – of course, the Festival starts with the FoodFest but then there are plenty of opportunities for picnics.
The Arts – including exhibitions of art by local groups and the ever popular Art in the Garden.
Out and About – there’s walks and talks, cruises and sketching and a garden party for families with a teddy bear trail and poetry and stories.
As well as some big names, we will have lots of local talent across the board.
There are lots of free events and everything takes place in and around the village in more than 20 different venues!
So whatever your taste, there must be something here for you. Get involved and join in the fun, meet new friends from around the village enjoying the events with you.
The details of every event and how to buy your tickets can be found here on the website and around mid-May the Event Guide will be available, being distributed to just about every home in Lymm and in the surrounding area as well.
Watch out for the posters around the village and keep coming back to the website for the latest news as we go through 11 days of FUN!
