For this year’s Lymm Festival Concert, the Choir and Orchestra present one of Schubert’s most sunny masses - the little G major, alongside a gem of a choral miniature by Haydn and also his Symphony No.95. As in previous years, the players and singers will be drawn from some of the regions most prestigious orchestras and choirs, including the Halle, the Liverpool Philharmonic and the Manchester Camerata.
Nick Cox, the musical director and Lymm resident, has also invited Warrington born Laura Lucas, recent winner of the Royal Over-Seas League Competition Wind prize to be the soloist in Mozart’s Flute Concerto.
