Events at Lymm Festival
FESTIVAL PICNIC,
7pm – midnight.
Cotebrook House *, Oughtrington Lane, Lymm, (opposite the High School)
£18 per head. Pre-booking essential. Maximum order of 10 per household (ticket holders must be at least 16 years old)
This year the picnic is to be held in the beautiful grounds of Cotebrook House, built about 200 years ago and set on the hill above St Peter’s Church, with a fine view over the Mersey Valley to the hills beyond.
Compered by Jim Hancock, local resident and media professional, the evening will be relaxed, informal and full of good entertainment. Music will be provided by the Swing Commanders, a multi-instrumental six-piece considered by many to be the UK’s best live ‘good time had by all’ band. Specialising in Western swing, boogie-woogie, rockabilly, hot jazz and more, their performance is delivered with the exuberant musical excellence that is guaranteed to get you up and dancing, or at least tapping your feet! It won’t all be frantic - there will be plenty of time for eating and chatting and exploring the lovely gardens accompanied by some more laid back sounds.
Dine in style with champagne and candelabras, or with a flask and a sandwich box, it’s up to you. We regret that we cannot allow barbeques on site.
Parking is in the Leisure Centre Car Park across the road from the entrance to Cotebrook House.
Although there are no restrictions this year on gazebos, we would ask picnic-goers not to put them up if the weather looks set to be fine. Those who do put them up will be positioned behind those without, and may be away from the main area, out of sight of the stage.
The Festival Committee would like to thank the residents and staff of Cotebrook House for their kindness in hosting the picnic. We ask that all picnic-goers treat the property with respect.

Please take all your litter home.
