Steve Turner (www.steve-turner.co.uk) comes from a family of singers and concertina players. Steve’s career on the Manchester folk scene began in the 1960’s, joining the Geordie band “Canny Fettle” in 1971 and making two albums with them and touring Britain and Europe with them for eight years. After a period away, 2004 saw Steve make a tentative return to the folk scene, resulting in a new album with Martin Carthy, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan, Kevin Brown and others.
