Lymm Festival Call Out for Crafty Kids
Saturday 21st of March, between 10.30 and 3.30 at Lymm Village Hall
If you and your family love nature and making things and you want to learn more about our environment and local initiatives – then Lymm Festival have the perfect event for you!
We are providing a host of activities for children to get creative with nature.
Local groups will be on hand to offer information on their activities and explain how we can all make a contribution to help protect our environment. Groups in attendance include: The Friends of Spud Wood, Plastic Free Lymm, Oughtrington Orchard and Low Carbon Lymm. In addition, the National Trust Dunham Massey, will be running a stall with games, quizzes and information on activities for children at Dunham in 2020. There will also be face painting provided by Kids Planet.
But mainly it’s about getting your hands sticky making a range of environmentally friendly crafts.
Volunteer leaders will head craft sessions that will focus on creating environmentally friendly crafts inspired by our local environment and the creatures we share it with.
Making a pine cone bird feeder
Decorating a jar and arranging Spring twigs in it
Decorating a wooden plaque or coaster
Making a bamboo bug house
Plant 3 different sorts of seeds – including wildflowers
♦ Bring a bag or box with you to take your crafts home and gloves if you require them.
PAY ON THE DOOR ON THE DAY. A ticket costing £2.50 will enable a child to take part in 3 sessions with the option of extra sessions at 50p each: a ticket for an accompanying adult costs just 50p.
SO COME AND JOIN US, get creative (and a little bit messy!) and celebrate our local wildlife and surroundings with craft leaders who will guide you through an inspiring ‘crafty’ adventure.
Refreshments will be provided by Marie Curie
♦ The last craft session will start at 3.00pm.
♦ Children must be accompanied by an adult
♦ Suitable for children up to age 12
