Bigger and Better than Ever!!!
This year’s Lymm Festival is from Thursday 28 June until Sunday 8 July and is set to be bigger and better than ever! There will be over 50 events in various locations in Lymm village which will include dance, drama, music, comedy, art and literature.
The festival has now been successfully running for over 10 years and its overriding objective is to provide entertainment and fun for the local community and for visitors to this wonderful village. Some events have an admission charge and some are free.
This year has seen the appointment of a new Festival Director, Jacquie Davies, who has put together a calendar of events which will appeal to all ages and tastes.
The Foodfest will begin the festival on Thursday evening. New for this year are LymmFest, our very own music festival and Lymm Fun Run. Other activities include Art in the Garden, The Scarecrow Trail and local history walks.
There is plenty for youngsters to do. Not only will there be the LymmFest, but but there will be a ‘silent disco’ in the marquee, Squashbox theatre piece and various events at the high school.
There is music in the form of Lymm’s very own Cheap Cuts, blues and jazz nights and folk events. There is even a secret cabaret, where the location is only revealed at the last minute!! Various choirs are performing at churches. Lymm Artists will be holding their own free exhibition in the Village Hall Annexe and we are running a L’Image photo competition there too. There will be a chance to experience the Festival Comedy Night at the Spread Eagle and also an opportunity to see a performance by the prolific writer, Roger McGough.
Tickets to events can be purchased from the Box Office in the Village Hall Annexe or through this website.
