Cantores ad Portam:

Handel Coronation Anthems and Organ Concerto

Sunday 21 June 2026

Cantores ad Portam, the strings and trumpets of Nantwich Chamber Ensemble, organist Andrew Millinchip and conductor John Naylor return once again to give a concert as part of the Lymm Festival.

This year, our concert will include Handel’s Coronation Anthems, one of his Organ Concertos, the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, motets by Anton Bruckner and more.

Established in 2024, in succession to Chester St Cecilia Singers and The Lydian Singers, the choir has already earned a reputation as one of the region’s leading chamber choirs. Accompanied by Andrew Millinchip, who will be the soloist in the Organ Concerto, and directed by John Naylor, who was recently awarded the BEM for his musical activities, Cantores ad Portam have delighted audiences across Cheshire in very well received performances.

We look forward to presenting another enjoyable and entertaining programme at Lymm United Reformed Church.
