Harvey Slumfenburger’s Christmas Present

Join us @ The Brow at Lymm Methodist Church on Saturday 5^th December for a sleigh-full of heart-warming, festive storytelling and musical fun, courtesy of acclaimed flautist Meera Maharaj and multi-instrumentalist Jamie Stockbridge.

Harvey Slumfenburger’s Christmas Present, based on John Burningham’s much-loved children’s book, is a joyful celebration of music, theatre and storytelling, aimed at children aged 3-7 and their grown-ups – and anyone else who is young at heart, of course!

With just one gift still to deliver, Father Christmas sets out on a long and eventful journey. Come along for the ride and help him deliver one last present to Harvey Slumfenburger, the little boy who lives far, far away in a hut at the top of the Roly Poly Mountain. Father Christmas must hurry because soon it will be Christmas Day!

Performing as Musical Curiosities, a new musical storytelling company, Meera and Jamie combine cherished children’s literature with classical and folk music, along with an array of Christmas tunes, creating a magical world for little ones and their adults alike!

Before and after the 45-minute performance, there will also be Christmas-themed craft activities for children to enjoy.

This child-friendly show, presented in association with Lymm Festival, launches Lymm Methodist Church’s new arts programme, Events @ The Brow, making use of its welcoming new facilities.

Tickets: £10 adult, £5 child, £20 family (two adults and two children or one adult and three children). Please note that a booking fee is applied to each ticket – £1 for tickets of £10 and over; 50p for tickets under £10.

Free refreshments will be provided (tea, coffee and squash).
