The event runs on Sunday 28 June 2026, and opens with an eclectic vehicle parade through the village at 10.30am, followed by a full day of exhibits and activities on the May Queen Field from 11am to 5pm.
By the canalside we’ll have old working canal boats and a sail past at 4:00pm. On the Henry Street car park will be a fantastic array of steam traction engines, and in the Village Hall we’ll be displaying an eye-popping model railway set-up from 10:30am.
Whilst in Maple Lodge from 11am there’ll be Lego displays and the chance for kids to have fun with some bricks.
As ever, we’ve some special attractions this year – including a chance to see the Jeep from the film ‘Jurassic Park’ and Bolton steeplejack Fred Dibnah‘s iconic Land Rover. Plus – take to the skies in the seat of a new flight simulator!
Now in our thirteenth year, Lymm Historic Transport Day has grown to become one of Cheshire’s best loved events, attracting people from across the North West, with profits going to local good causes.
